Nationwide Protests of National hawkers federation on Constitution Day Demand Repeal of “Draconian” Labour Codes

On Constitution Day,26th November, the National Hawkers Federation joined nationwide protests called by central trade unions. Under the banner ‘Samvidhan Bachao, Desh Bachao’ (Save the Constitution, Save the Nation), large-scale demonstrations in cities like Delhi and Kolkata demanded the immediate scrapping of four new labour codes. The movement decried the laws as draconian, pro-corporate, and anti-labour, asserting they undermine constitutional protections for workers.
